Yoga is more than just the practice of asana (physical postures). Yoga is a system of practice dealing with physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being, which has evolved over thousands of years. Yoga encompasses a direct experience with the entirety of body and mind. Through the movement of my body, linked with breath, I unlock accumulated tension and anxiety. I begin to feel more freedom as I become aware of the benefits of taking care of myself on all levels. I treat myself and others with more respect. Life takes on different meaning as I build more concentration and focus to direct my attention to what I am experiencing in each moment. I become a more active player in my life; empowered to make choices that support and help me live life more in alignment with who I really am.
In teaching yoga, I create a space in the classroom which allows practitioners to draw out what is present within. This gives each student the opportunity to explore what they are experiencing in the moment. Through mindful movement and breath awareness, my style of yoga connects mind, body and spirit. Students experience a mental, emotional, and physical practice, while achieving a deep state of relaxation, calmness, and peace.
Available for private sessions using yoga, meditation, breathwork, energy movement, and relaxation techniques.
